The Trust plays an important role in providing independent and impartial advice and recommendations on the allocation of funds from the Royalties for Regions Fund (Fund) and in the management of the Fund, which is required to promote and facilitate economic, business and social development in regional Western Australia.
The work of the Trust affects the way in which the Department of Regional Development and theMinister develop and administer Royalties for Regions policy and projects. The Trust regularly visits the regions and consults widely with individuals, agencies, and entities concerned with regional development and Royalties for Regions projects.
