Onemda ran four Koori community workshops at Victorian regional centres in 2007: Echuca, Melbourne, Geelong and Bairnsdale. This report provides the background to the workshops and their goals, and documents the participants' views on Koori health research and barriers to Koori community-controlled research. It also includes six workshop presentations on Koori research, and sets out health priorities that should be addressed by 2020, based on the informed views of workshop participants. The report does not set out to represent the views of the whole Koori community, but to open up for discussion ways of improving health research practice for Koori people.
