The Towns in Time 2001 – Analysis report is the final product based on data from the 2001 Census from Spatial Analysis and Research.

The first part of the report includes an analysis of a range of topics covering demographic analysis of trends and influences on population change in Victorian towns between 1981 and 2001.

The second part of the report is the updated Study of Small Towns in Victoria. The original small towns study (1988) has been updated by a consortium of Victorian University regional researchers (VURRN) revisiting the six towns from the original study and reporting on their findings.
