Conversation report: regional network development plan

  • Year: 2016
  • Author: Government of Victoria
  • Country: Australia

The Regional Network Development Plan will be the first ever long-term and state-wide strategy for public transport in regional Victoria. What we've learnt through this process is that many regions are facing similar challenges when it comes to public transport services and investment.

A state-wide strategy that sets out the guiding principles and future direction for regional public transport is critical. While it's important to have a guiding vision, the plan will also enable transport solutions to be developed at a local level to meet the needs of regional communities.
