Advanced nursing practice: experiences of clients and multi-discipline health workers in bush nursing centres in rural Victoria

The development, implementation and work in progress of a study of advanced nursing practice in the bush nursing context in rural Victoria are examined in this paper. Data are presented about the experiences of clients attending five nominated bush nursing centres in Eastern Victoria and the experiences of other health care workers involved in client care with bush nurses. The aims of the Victorian Rural Nurse Project Part Two: Advanced Rural Nursing Practice Model: Bush Nursing are outlined and interim findings are discussed.
