Evaluation of the Murdi Paaki COAG trial

The Council of Australian Government (COAG) Trials, announced in 2002, aimed to explore new ways for governments to work together and with communities to address the needs of Indigenous Australians. Eight trials were conducted in sites across Australia - the New South Wales trial was conducted in the Murdi Paaki region, and aimed to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people; improve educational attainment and school retention; help families raise healthy children; and strengthen community and regional governance structures. This report presents findings from an evaluation of the Trial, including lessons learned on community engagement and interagency collaboration.
