The Nyirranggulung Nutrition Project is a joint project between the The Fred Hollows Foundation and the Jawoyn Association in the Katherine region of the Northern Territory. The project aims to increase nutrition knowledge and the availability of affordable and nutritious foods in order to improve nutrition and health outcomes in remote communities in the region. The project employs a diverse range of complementary programs, including a school meals programs, women's centre activities, the employment of a nutritionist, the appointment of a supermarket-sponsored store consultant, and financial literacy training for local organisations. This report presents findings from an evaluation of the project's processes and outcomes from 2000 to 2003.
