The NSW Standing Committee on Public Works undertook this inquiry to investigate why councils were not making greater use of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs). While PPPs are by no means the complete answer to all of local government’s infrastructure funding problems, they do present one way that councils can either upgrade existing infrastructure or provide new services and facilities for their communities. The Committee considered a number of options to assist local government in relation to the problem and discussed the issue with key stakeholders. It is hoped that the proposals put forward in this report will go someway to assisting local government with future PPPs. To download this report click on the document icon(s) below.
