WA Regional Cities Alliance Strategic Planning Summary Report

The Western Australia Regional Centres Alliance (WARCA or “the Alliance”) was established in 2010 under the Memorandum of Understanding with four members; namely the City of Albany, the City of Bunbury, the City of Greater Geraldton and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. In late 2011 the Shire of Broome, Town of Port Hedland and the Shire of Roebourne joined the Alliance. The Alliance was set up with the aim to encourage more State planning in regional centres and to facilitate strong economic and population growth in regional cities as an alternative to Perth.
