Regional roadmap analyses opportunity for growth as well as develops strategic priorities to provide long term prosperity to the region. These priorities include:

- accessibility and affordability of energy and water supplies
- development of port infrastructure
- telecommunications services
- education and training
- regional aviation
- rail network
RDA MIW will promote thse priorities to all levels of government with a strong focus on the need for ongoing planning and investment to ensure the region's productivity.
