PIRSA Regional Impact Assessment Statements
As part of a broader commitment to ensure rural and regional issues are appropriately considered in government decision-making, the State Government created the Regional Impact Assessment Statements Policy.
The policy requires South Australian government agencies to:
Promote an inclusive approach to community consultation and communication
Undertake a Regional Impact Statement Assessment of the consequences of significant changes to the standard or level of existing government services in rural and regional communities in South Australia
Establish a ‘joined up’ government approach to consultation and assessment inform government and the public of the results of all assessments
